Mari sings and lives the word by faith, proclaiming her gratitude and passion for the awesome God that brought her into His family. This album reflects her heart to lead others on the journey into His presence.
Mari was born in Denver, CO. but currently resides in Raleigh, NC with her family. Although she misses the Rockies, she consoles herself with frequent visits to the beaches of NC and the Blue Ridge mountains.

When I was a little girl, each spring we would make a kite. For hours we would cut, paste and paint our creations. Then we would run to Mother, looking for something with which to make the tail. She would pull from her bag of rags, an old shirt or dress, tattered and torn. With our hands we ripped it into strips, then tied and knotted the pieces together to form a tail.
This CD project has been like the creation of a kite. It is painted with tears, tickles, and time, and represents all the beautiful colors of devotion, destiny and dreams my family and friends helped me to build. The tattered, torn, and tied rags represent the temptations, tests, and trials of my entire life some passed, some failed. Things set aside in my heart for a purpose that only He knew. (Romans 8:28)
With the writing of each song came encouragement from my husband Edward as if to say, "This kite is ready for the string."
I pray that as you listen to God's word in song and worship with us, your heart will freely offer to the Father praise that soars far above the clouds, where He dwells. -Mari
Spending time with God and asking for His leading and approval on our plans for the school day are as important ( more so) as the daily lesson plans we create for our children. Let "Praise is Awaiting You" open or close your daily devotions. Read His word, meditate on His word and sing His word .
